Crypto Slippage

What is Slippage Crypto?

Slippage is price variation while buying or selling cryptocurrencies on applications with an order book system. For example, if you’re trying to sell 10 BTC for $100 (assuming a price of $10/BTC), there may not be users willing to purchase that exact quantity at the price you quoted. So the price slips to the next buy order with a lower price, say, $9.5 for 4 BTCs left in your sell order. This continues till your sell order is complete.
